PAP affiliate Code / Cuppons

I´d love to have some kind of a "Kupon", mostly for using PAP offline. A way, that an affiliate can download "his own code", and when a new customer is using that code he can get something free.
Like this: A magazine prints an acticle about me. They sign in in the affiliate-programm and in the atricle they ask the new customer to use the Kupon "Free-Gift". So when the user buys and puts in the code, he will get the gift, like a special download, a discount or anything like that.
It will get difficult to make that, because when working togehter with a shop, a community-system or anything, there will have to be some kind of a connection. But I also have some ideas, how this could work:
The gift can be sent out per eMail from pap. When pap collects the eMail-Adress (this is a planed module) then pap has the information. Getting the gift-code "Free-Gift" can be used to
1) bring up the connection between the new customer and the affiliate
2) give pap the command to sent out an eMail to the customer.
Well ... this is just the begining of the idea, and it needs some work to put it on a stable base. I would love to see a way covered, that offline-prints can use ref-codes somehow. What do you think?

I was thinking about giving my affiliates the ability to give them Cupons. Actually discount cupons from my store, so they will have to use them in the store. Of course I would love to have two different kind of affiliates: One which will receive cupons (Small fee) and the main "sales group" which will be paid in money when a larger minimum was reached.
Now the problem is that the user can choose either of these payments so for nw, i will be using only cupons to maintain the flow of my business.
Will be great to have cupons as a payment method but also, the ability to restrict which Payment Options has each affiliate. (It could be implemented by groups. Then you will assign a payment option available to all, or maybe a subset of your users)
