Home Suggestions and new ideas Offline Affiliate Tracking

Offline Affiliate Tracking

3 years ago submited by trigger571
It would be great to have an offline tracking function. This could work s follows:

* System generates a code to give to offline affiliates..
* Code is used in Offline Affiliate campaigns where the affiliate displays the code in the form of a discount coupon.
* Buyer goes to merchant site, and upon buying enters the coupon code to get the discoount.
* Since coupon code is unique to the affiliate, then affiliate commission is tracked.

Coupons can have an expiery date on them to replicate cookie time periods.
Only one tracking at a time - i.e. an affiliate using a coupon on his website, but also hving a tracking link will only get commission once.

We are planning to implement this

We have discusseed same feature on friday and we are planning to implement it.
There are two more improvements I would add here:
- export of coupons from PAP so you can import them to shop
- import of coupons so you can generate them in shop and import to PAP

This feature will require also some changes in integration codes for shops as the shop will need to pass discount coupon to the PAP sale tracking script.

This is great news indeed. Do you have any idea when this might be made available?

Offilne coupon codes is a great idea!

This is going to be an exciting feature. I'll be happy to see it implemented as soon as possible. The only thing that would be better would be if it were integrated with the coupon feature of DL Guard.

Progress on offline coupon code

3 years ago Kiterpilot
Thanks for letting us see the progress on this feature.

I'm using PAP4 to track sales from both DLGuard and my own shopping cart (general solution). I'm happy to provide input or suggestions on the operation of this feature. A key factor will be how it works with the shopping cart since that's usually where the discount coupon is applied.

Would you add a new "coupon" variable? If so it would be helpful if we could assign the "coupon" variable as our own string that would be easy for people to remember such as "discount50" or "special" etc. and then that could be matched up with the affiliate after our shopping cart (either DLGuard or custom) charges the customer at the discounted price and then passes the parameter back to PAP4 on the sale completion.

We do a lot of coupon codes in audio podcasts (you can hear some samples at PersonalLifeMedia.com) - this is a really big demand for this kind of "coupon code" in audio ads. Most of the time we need to come up with a custom solution. When PAP4 adds this feature I think it help put PAP4 even farther out in front of the other guys.

Assign coupon code to an affiliate manually

2 years ago brian lim
We should be able to manually assign a coupon code (under a coupon banner) to any affilliate we want. Currently we are limited to generating them and not being able to assign it easily.

We have to go into phpmyadmin to manually add it to the tables but it takes forever.

Please customize this option as it should be standard.

Thank you!
